Enpalo also has a research arm. It is developing new ways to account for energy and greenhouse gas emissions.

Who:

Enpalo is run by its founders, a Stanford team of mathematicians and engineers.
Enpalo has partners too. It is an official CDM Gold Standard partner and an EPA Landfill Methane industry partner.

Why:

Although fossil fuels are a depletable and carbon-intensive source of energy, there are hurdles to the adoption of new, clean technologies.

Opportunities:

Enpalo stimulates investment in the voluntary carbon and renewables markets by sourcing quality credits and providing clear consulting for its customers.
New energy and emissions accounting systems will accelerate the adoption of clean technologies. Accordingly, Enpalo is designing systems to empower energy accountability.
